Hi! Welcome to my Simply Complicated blog. This is my personal diary where I write about my life, the happenings around it, and the people in it . I live 10 minutes outside of Washington D.C. with my brand new wife and chihuahua Kujo. Sometimes I write about love, food and places I wish I lived but I don’t. I have a psycho obsession with cheese, chipotle and coffee and it’s not getting any better. I’ll end this now because you’ll judge me anyway. :)

My name is Chanel1, I am 24 years old.I was born and raised in the great state of Virginia.  I currently live in a Maryland suburb of Washington D.C. with my brand spanking new wife, Dana and our chihuahua, Kujo2.  As an only child I spent many nights over my friend’s houses. My dad felt bad for me because I had no siblings to play with.  I soon realized that pets were the norm in most suburban families and began to wonder why we didn’t have one. I begged for a puppy, a kitten, a hamster, a fish, a hermit crab??? something??? But each time I was shot down3.   In high school I played in the orchestra4, softball team, cheerleading squad, and tennis team. When I got to college, I did nothing! I am incredibly spoiled, but I was also taught “the value of a dollar” as my dad puts it.  But I still wish the value was a lot more than what it is!!!!

To keep myself busy I like to take walks in old town, go to the movies and order nachos, eat at the same restaurants (over and over), watch girly movies, and get my fiance buzzed, and her least favorite…shop. My favorite color is Pink and if I had it my way, our master bedroom would feature it.  My favorite punctuation is the ampersand (&).  I’m crazy as hell (in a fun way), I nag Girlfriend 24/7, I’m loyal, sympathetic, stubborn, spoiled, a procrastinator, forgetful, a dreamer, sarcastic and sometimes bitchy.

I’m hoping to stay pretty active on this blog and let it be my shadow to this life I live.  Since I’m not sure how I feel about reincarnation… this may or may not be my only life here and I at least want to leave a piece of my self on my tiny piece of webspace here when I leave5.

Things I don’t like: People who lie for no reason6.  People who drive under the speed limit unless it’s inclimate weather involved.  I don’t like when people don’t return my text or phone calls. I don’t like when people try to act like they forgot where they bought something when you compliment them to prevent you from buying it. I don’t like seafood, asymmetry, people who tell everyone they love them, bbq sauce, bad grammar, or when they tYpe LiKe ThIs!!!!7.
