Okay, now that I’ve paralyzed you with beauty and fabulousness… The pictures are of a 1950′s inspired backyard bridal luncheon.  Not only was this luncheon so well planned, designed, and photographed…but the food looked amazing! These girls did an awesome job putting together such a fantastic party.  I’ve always liked theme parties, but I’ve never been one with enough creative mind to throw one.  But this one….it’s puuuuurfect.

I know I rave a lot about this amazing amazing place called Chipotle. While it may not be any where near the most healthy place to feast at, it is delicious. I’ve never really been a fan of Mexican or other traditionally Hispanic foods¹ but Chipotle is sooo good. Could it be because it’s washed down by American condiments? Probably. Either way it’s amaze balls. I have to limit my visit there because those burritos are loaded (with calories).

I even have the audacity to order double meat on some occasions……like Tuesday for instance. On Tuesday, the wife and I were headed on a mini road trip and Chipotle was a perfect start on our day. I had been up since 5:30 am and I refused to eat until they opened. I usually don’t skip breakfast but I made an exception. I also noticed that more locations are opening up across the country. That makes me happy:-)  Only I’d be happier if I didn’t just vow a pact with myself that after my vacay I am changing my eating habits for good. You hear me? I just can’t make random stops a McDonalds, Wendy’s, Chipotle, Pizza Hut anymore.  Those places will now become “treats” on rare occasions.  Gym membership, here I come!

I realize how gluttonous this post makes me seem so for a quick topic change:

Did you guys know that the President just opened a new elementary school like 15 mins from my house? I know I don’t have any children but someday I will and I need to know what to do so they can attend! Hmmmm maybe I should email him…..if my kids get in,  life is SO set for them (and me).

“My daughter/son goes to Obama’s school. If your law firm will hire me….I’ll be sure to put a word in for your kid too.”

And there you have it. I’ll be a bright, “successful” and pretty cute attorney! Because who doesn’t want to send their kids to a President’s school?

This is one of the more upscale steakhouses in the D.C. area. I was so happy to be able to visit there with my honey bunny.

I mean seriously the food comes out on hot sizzling plates just waiting for you to partake in every bite.  At first they took a little longer than I wanted for them to bring out the food…but once we got it, it was on and poppin..I ordered steak (of course)…medium….hot….and good…

Dana ordered the lamb chops…which she finished before I could even ask for a bite!

My favorite side dishes are potatoes au gratin and creamed spinach

While we waited for our food.. Mrs.Rude texted away on her cell phone… it wasn’t long before I found out what she was up to…

We ordered a couple of (very strong) martinis as well.  I actually got tipsy from my one glass because I hadn’t even much before hand.

Of course she had a birthday treat brought to the table for me… I took a few bites then reluctantly pushed the plate away from me.

After dinner was done, Dana asked me to put my earphones in my ears and blind fold on.  Okay guys, so I’ve never been blind folded before and boy was it an experience. We arrived at our next destination.  She took me on a journey which seemed like a 3 hour hike! Have you ever tried walking with a blind fold and 4 inch heels on? It’s horrific.  I kept telling her..”babe, watch out for rocks, cracks, or uneven ground please.” I don’t think people who don’t wear heels have ANY understanding of how much it takes not to fall.  We are constantly looking at the ground (esoecially when drunk) because anything can make you lose your balance.  Anyway, we finally arrive to an area where I was greeted by so many people I love yelling, “Surprise!!!”

I was so happy and floored that she took the time out to make my birthday so special with a surprise party for me! FYI: I’ve never been thrown a surprise party before.  Way to bring in the big 25!!!!

Later that night we crashed in a hotel room (another surprise) and got some great sleep. I was so exhausted and ready to get out those damn shoes!

I was thirsty too…..but I was not going to crack the seal on a $9.00 bottle of water….. Goodnight!

Once again… thank you honey for all you did for my birthday!!! I love you more each day!

1. I normally don’t eat desserts at all

For starters I’m extremely emotional this week and every little thing feels like a porcupine crawling under 3 layers of my skin. I woke up this morning way earlier than I needed to. The sun was still golden (remember I work a night shift). I ate breakfast and packed my lunch. Within the first 2 hours at work I had already eaten my lunch and 4 hours later I was hungry again. Isn’t that the recipe for never losing weight? On top of that I had a ridiculous craving for a large caramel frappé from McDonalds allll day. Something I swore I’d leave alone 2 weeks ago. Srsly, I was having panic attacks…withdrawals even.

On another pissed-off note. I went to Macy’s on Tuesday and paid 50.00 for a clinique acne skin care kit. It’s been almost 5 days of using this product and I don’t see a difference yet. Not only is my skin so dry it hurts when I yawn, but I got two brand flipping new pimples since I first started this regime. Ugh

Lastly, Kujo is STILL marking in the house. I swear I want to put duck tape around is peewee when I leave the house so he can’t pee! I’m tired of wiping and moping and wiping and yelling about it. Does he really need potty training at 5 years old? Or is he just being an ass?

And there you have it! My official “leave me alone before I eye gauge you” list! Hopefully tomorrow will be a bit easier.
